What is the originality of Carole's creations ?

She was born in 1947 in Detroit (USA).
Having spent her early professional years as a sculptress in ceramics, she has, for the last 12 years, devoted herself to sculpture in iron.
She has mostly sculpted monumental works such as "Le Grillon" (1,80 m high) and "Le Lion" (2 m high), mythical subjects which allowed her to give free rein to her imagination.
Her innate sense of movement and her work which involves considerable physical effort has been clearly recognised by critics ; working with iron is a real battle between a woman and her chosen element.
Today she gives the Twelve Signs of the Zodiac, personalised by the artist at the dawn of the 3rd millenium. These sculptures, of smaller dimensions (30 cm. approximately) find an echo of us, as the observation of the sky has fascined man since the mists of time.
